About...

I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Oxford Brookes University in 2003. While I was there, I developed large scale endurance drawings and created installation works for the first time.

After graduating I travelled to Cyprus, studying at the Cyprus College of Art and was a resident at Limassol Studios Art Community. After returning in 2005 I exhibited drawings and taught art occasionally appearing at local events as a stilt-walker. I continued to make art but lacking a sense of self and purpose exhibiting and teaching gradually fell away.

2016 saw me take up qigong practise and in 2018 I studied sound healing with Sheila Whittaker. After COVID in 2021, emerging from a period of personal upheaval, I began to think about how my art and healing practises mutually inform each other.

In 2023 I enrolled on a life changing mentorship programme and started taking my art career seriously again. With new awareness and direction, my practise is moving away from being solely reliant on visual art and is focussed on uniting art, sound and movement practises with an outward perspective including the foundation of a new community arts organisation Guisborough Arts.

I live on the edges of Teesside and the North Yorkshire Moors, near the sea and near the city.
